THE NUMBERS ARE IN: 2015 TASTE OF HB NET PROCEEDS UP 20%
Over 2,200 people attended the 2015 Taste of Huntington Beach on April 26th at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex. People enjoyed tastes from nearly 50 local restaurants and more than 30 wineries and breweries. According to Taste of Huntington Beach Chairman Dan Page, “The Taste of Huntington Beach will donate $37, 500 to the Children’s Department of the Huntington Beach Public Library. That’s one hundred percent of the proceeds from the annual event,” he added, “That figure is nearly a 20% increase from last year's event.”
Page went on to express his sincere thanks to the community for their continued strong support of the event. "We are truly grateful to those that attend the Taste, the businesses that support us, our volunteers and the community and city leaders who help us stage this annual fundraiser to support children's literacy in Huntington Beach," Page said. Great weather and a party atmosphere were the hallmarks of this year's event.
Over the last eight years, the Taste has donated nearly half a million dollars to the Huntington Beach Public Library Children's Department – providing hundreds of books and a variety of educational programs and monthly activities that support children's interest in literature, reading and the services of the library.
The next Taste of Huntington Beach will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2016.
